The flight desk

Somebody is always on

Charter does not keep office hours: departures move at dawn and weather closes at altitude. Two lines, both answered around the clock, in English and Nepali.

  • Medical evacuation

Call, do not write. Rescue in Nepal is dispatched by voice, and an inbox is the wrong channel when somebody is deteriorating at altitude.

The flight desk. Anything departing today, and anything you would rather say out loud than type.

For anything with dates in it. A route, a group size and a month are quicker to read than to dictate, and the comparison comes back in writing.

Tell us the route and the dates

Where from, where to, when, and how many of you. If you know the total weight of the party, include it: above about 12,000 ft that decides which aircraft can take you more often than the seat count does.

Before you write

The six things people ask the desk

Answered here so you do not have to ask them first and get to the real question second.

How quickly will you reply?

Within four hours, always. If the flight you are asking about departs within twelve hours we answer within fifteen minutes — say so in the first line and it gets routed that way. The desk is staffed at every hour, so there is no overnight queue to sit in.

Should I call or write?

Call for anything happening today, and always for a medical evacuation — rescue in Nepal is dispatched by voice and an inbox is the wrong channel when somebody is deteriorating at altitude. Write for anything with dates in it: a route, a group size and a month are faster to read than to dictate, and you get the comparison back in writing.

What should I put in the message?

Where you want to fly from and to, the date or the window, how many of you there are, and the total weight of the party if you know it. Weight decides which aircraft can take you at altitude more often than seat count does. A callback number helps; an itinerary you have already been quoted for helps more.

Do you have a WhatsApp number?

Yes — +977 97 0401 9967, the same desk and the same hours as the phone line. It is the fastest channel from a trekking region, where data frequently works when voice does not.

Can I visit the office?

The flight desk is at Lazimpat, Ward 2, Kathmandu 44600. You are welcome to come in, but nothing about a booking needs you to: quotes, comparison, payment and the boarding pass all happen without a visit, and no operator prices a flight differently in person.

Do you charge anything to ask?

No. Sending a request costs nothing, comparing the operators who answer costs nothing, and you pay only once you accept a quote. Operators pay us a share of a confirmed booking, which is why comparing here costs you no more than contacting each of them yourself.
