From KathmanduOn request

Check in at first light and walk out to the helicopter. Your pilot gives a safety briefing, the rotors start, and Kathmandu falls away beneath you.

A short stop of seven to fifteen minutes to refuel at the gateway to the Khumbu. Then north, up the Dudh Koshi, to Syangboche for breakfast.

Breakfast on the terrace with Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam across the valley, then on up the Khumbu.

Past Pheriche and Lobuche to Gorak Shep: the Khumbu Glacier below, Nuptse and Pumori ahead, Kala Patthar just above.

Ten to fifteen minutes on the ridge, with Everest directly in front of you. No helicopter lands at Everest Base Camp; this is the landing. Then the flight home, via Lukla.

Most travellers are back by 10:00 to 11:00, with under two hours in the air.
You tell us the flight. We ask every certified operator that flies it, compare their quotes and book you the cheapest.

The operator flies you. Its name is on your quote and invoice.
Everest, Annapurna, Muktinath and Langtang from the air, back the same morning.

Three steps, one desk. We compare every licensed operator's price and bring you the cheapest, and nothing is charged until you say yes.
Get quotesPick the destination, the date and who is flying, in the planner at the top of the page or by phone. We ask for weights up front, because at altitude they decide what the aircraft can carry.
We put the request to the CAAN-certified operators that fly your route, compare their prices and bring you the cheapest. The price is itemised, and our fee sits on its own line.
Accept the quote and pay then, not before. We send the check-in time and the flight details, and stay your contact until you land back in Kathmandu.
Seasons, weight, safety and price: straight answers from the people who plan the flights.

No. No helicopter lands at Everest Base Camp. The tour lands at Kala Patthar (5,545 m), the viewpoint directly facing the summit.
About four hours from Kathmandu and back, including under two hours of flying, a refuelling stop at Lukla and breakfast at Hotel Everest View.
Helicopters carry less at high altitude, so we ask for each passenger's weight before quoting. It decides how many people can fly together.
That depends on your policy. If it includes helicopter evacuation, we help you contact your insurer and share the details they need.

One search or one phone call. The desk aims to reply within four hours with quotes, and nothing is charged until you accept one.
