About Go Heli Nepal · Kathmandu

We book the helicopter. Operators fly it.

Go Heli Nepal is a booking desk in Kathmandu. We ask every CAAN-certified operator that flies your route, compare their quotes and book you the cheapest. We own no aircraft, employ no pilots and hold no flying licence.

Why this exists

One message instead of three days of email.

Booking a helicopter in Nepal used to mean finding each operator's website, emailing every one of them and comparing replies that came back over three days, if they came back at all. The same Everest tour could cost hundreds of dollars more from one operator than another.

So we built the service we wanted as travellers. You tell the desk what you want to fly. We ring round the licensed operators that fly your route, compare their real prices and book you the cheapest, usually within four hours.

Our mission

To make helicopter travel in Nepal clear and open: licensed operators at their real prices, and nothing to pay until somebody has agreed to fly you.

Our vision

A market where operators compete on service and reliability, and where a trekker in trouble reaches a crew ready to fly without ringing round.

How we work

Four rules the desk keeps on every booking.

We stand between you and the operator. These are the rules that keep that position honest, and each one is something you can check on your quote.

Certified operators only

The desk checks an operator's CAAN Air Operator Certificate and its insurance before passing it a request. An operator whose certificate has lapsed is sent none.

An itemised price, our fee on its own line

Operators set their own prices. Where we add a service fee, the quote shows it as a separate line before you accept. Nothing is charged until you do.

Weight planned for altitude

A helicopter lifts less the higher it climbs. We ask for each traveller's weight before quoting, usually against a 75 kg limit with your day bag, and plan the load for the landing.

A person on the phone, 24 hours

The desk phone is answered day and night, every day, in English and Nepali. The same number, +977 98 6104 4994, takes rescue calls.

Our team

Operators are listed here once their agreements with us are signed. Until then, every quote the desk sends you names the operator who would fly.
